About
In 2005, Martin was awarded a Master of Arts Degree in European Studies from the European Documentation and Research Centre at the University of Malta - a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence - with a dissertation on EU - Norway relations. After University, Martin was employed as a project manager with ParagonEurope, a Malta-based EU Project Management and Consultancy firm and within a short period of time promoted to head of the market research unit. Following this experience, he set up his own private EU consultancy studio in 2008. During his career, Martin assisted various organizations to source funding from numerous EU Funding programmes. In 2006, he led a Maltese delegation of young entrepreneurs on a multi-industry familiarization visit to the industrial town of Cosenza, Italy, a project financed through the Leonardo Da Vinci Programme. Also during the same year, Martin completed a specialist course on EU Project management funded by the DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities within the European Commission and managed by the European Trade Union Institute for Research, Education and Health and Safety (ETUI-REHS). Currently, Martin is licensed under the Malta Trade Licenses Act (Cap 441 of 2002) to carry out independent business management and consultancy activities. He is a member of the Malta Institute of Management and is registered with the European Transparency Initiative. He provides a wide variety of research, training, and consultancy services related with EU funding programmes for private companies, public sector and non-governmental organizations in Malta, Europe and around the World.
